Hey y'all! What do you think of the fact that the hobbit movies added a character, the elf Tauriel, who wasn't in the books? Do you approve of it, or wish they stuck more to Tolkien's original work?
Hmm, I haven't watched the Hobbit trilogy yet, so I can't say, but I will say that if it deviates too much from the book it probably isn't as good. Just my personal opinion :)
I think that she was a really awesome character, especially since there aren't many female characters in The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, so it was nice to get to know her.
A lot of people were really disappointed that so much "extra" content was added into the Hobbit movies. In my opinion, I don't mind so much, but there would be some things that I would take out, such as the romance between Tauriel and Kili. It was sweet, but I found it to be slightly odd, and frankly, it would never have worked. 😄

Lovely question, @Annika!!
To be honest, I both approve and disapprove.
